Students should know:

  • How to type text.
  • Font style and text appearance.

    Exercise 1



    1. Create a leave letter using alignment (left, right, centred), shortcut keys and font colour. Create a new document similar to the one given below.

    1. Create a leave letter without using the alignment tools, using tab stops instead.

    1. Copy the required material given below, and break the page without using the Enter key.

    1. Make the students type a leave letter.
    2. Use the terms "align left", "align right" and "align centre", etc. while teaching, so that students become familiar with them.
    3. Ask students to think about why they would use alignment or tab stops rather than tabs, and rather than indenting with spaces. What happens if you type something more at the beginning, or correct a spelling mistake?
